It was all recorded on a Brennel 8 track in the Telecoms Studio in Portsmouth. Each track was recorded in one ‘main take’ with some small amounts of overdubbing here and there.
The overall recordings have, of necessity, been ‘cleaned up’ (cedared by the incomparable Gordon) a little and EQ’d but ostensibly these are as they were back in ’77-’78.
